So here is a photo that I took while I was on vacation in Florida. I don't know what caused me to take this photo but I think I was just really hot and wanted to be finished. Luckily it turned out pretty well for me. For trying to be sneaky and not get caught while taking this photo, it uses rule of thirds really well. The man with the red hat is on the line. I think when you first look at the photo, your eye is drawn to the little old man with the red hat. His hat is bright and he's just right there. Your eyes kind of move around the background of the photo from there. There's a lot of going on but it isn't too cluttered. I think the colors of this photo make it pretty successful too. If it was just black and white or there was just one guy in this particular photo, it wouldn't be so interesting looking. It'd be kind of boring. In my opinion at least. I think the mood could be interpreted in a couple different ways. There's a lot of different things happening in this picture, so that leaves you with a lot of different feelings. To me I think there is a kind of happy mood to it. There are quite a few families and people doing different activities in this photo. They're at the beach, and they're having fun. Why wouldn't you be happy while at the beach with your friends or your family. I don't know if I would say that there is a one special moment in this photo, I think there are many "special moments" throughout this. I think that's it.
This photo is kind of self explanatory as to what is going on. The man is obviously fishing. He isn't in the rule of thirds but he is in the center of this photo and is the focal point. I think since he is in the center of this photo that is what your eye is drawn to. Then once again to the background and seeing what all of the people are doing. Since the colors of this photo aren't too bright and elaborate it makes the photo not so distracting since there are a lot of things happening in the background. I also think that there could be a lot of different moods interpreted with this photo. Just look at all of the things happening throughout this photo. You could feel so many things, I think that this photo also has a happy soothing kind of mood just like the last one. I think since he is doing something he really enjoys that makes it have that special moment. I also think that with all the people watching him, it makes it even cooler.
This is the same guy from above and he actually caught a fish. This one was really hard to take because I looked like a total creeper taking a picture of this random guy. So I pretended to take a picture of the building behind him. He's in rule of thirds in this photo unlike the one above. I kind of wish he was more centered but it doesn't bother me too much. He is definitely what your eye sees first. He is the attention getter. There isn't much in the background so it doesn't distract from the center point, being him. He is also wearing something red and I somehow edited that to be more brighter so that also makes him the first thing you see. This photo shows a definite moment since he actually caught the fish and is posing to take a photo. You can't see it but there were a lot of random people around in amazement since he actually caught one. They thought it was so cool. So that is that "special moment" that occurred but you can't actually see. I think there is that accomplishment kind of feeling throughout this photo. It isn't that easy to catch a fish in the ocean so it is a cool thing that happened.
I really like this photo. I just think the idea of it is super neat. I like how simple it is. There isn't too much that is going on but there is just enough going on to tell a story. The girl is centered in this photo, like smack dab in the center, and the guy is on the rule of thirds line but on the right side unlike my other photos that are to the left. I think since the background is bright and the colors of their clothing is dull and not bright, is has a good balance to them. The railings that she is standing on is a leading line so it helps move your eye around the photo very well. I think the people are what your eyes go to first. They're what is in the center of the photo so it is kind of just there. If that makes any sense. I think that there is that special moment in this photo. She looks very happy while taking her own pictures. The special moment is that she probably took a successful photo or photos. She is smiling at her camera, so the guy must of been a good model. It is something that they are both doing together, so that also has a good feeling to it. Unless she dragged him along and he doesn't actually want to do it, but we can choose the first option and pretend that he's happy doing it to.
This is my brother and so it was okay to take a picture of him without being creepy. Even though he didn't know I was taking this photo, it wasn't as creepy as taking a picture of a stranger. Somehow I managed to get him in the rule of thirds. Also managed to get a background that is minimally distracting. There is only one person doing something in the water, looks like he or she is flopping. Then there is a little boat in the background. Since he is one of the only things in this photo, he is the thing your eye sees first. Also since he is wearing bright colored swim trunks that makes him more out there. Your eye goes from him to the water, and then around the water. Or so my eyes do that. I don't know if there is that one special moment in this photo. He looks very serious which kind of adds a serious mood to it. I think he is probably mad that I was taking pictures of strangers without their permission but I also took this without his permission so oops. I like how simple this photo is. There isn't too much going on in it.
